Senior Supply Chain IT Analyst — GIFT City, Gandhinagar
We're recruiting a Senior Supply Chain IT Analyst for a full-time, on-site position at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat 382355. The pay is ₹1,20,000 per month. The person in this seat owns the technology side of how goods, orders, and inventory data move through our systems, and works directly with planning, procurement, and warehouse teams rather than through a layer of project managers.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll be trusted to look at a broken forecast-to-fulfillment flow, work out whether the problem sits in the master data, the integration, or the process itself, and then drive the fix through to production. Decisions about system design in this area will largely be yours to propose and defend.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Building and configuring enhancements to our supply chain systems against documented business requirements, covering order management, inventory visibility, procurement workflows and demand planning inputs.
- Investigating and resolving technical issues raised by operations. That ranges from a stuck EDI message to a costing calculation that stopped matching the ledger after a release.
- Gathering requirements first-hand from planners, buyers and warehouse supervisors, then translating what they describe into specifications an engineering team can build from.
- Mapping and analyzing existing processes to find where manual workarounds have quietly become permanent, and proposing system changes that remove them.
- Writing and maintaining documentation. Interface specs, data dictionaries, runbooks for recurring failures, and the reasoning behind configuration choices that a future analyst won't otherwise be able to reconstruct.
- Reviewing peers' work. Code reviews where you're writing SQL or scripts, design reviews where you're not, and sign-off on changes that touch supply chain master data.
Month-end and quarter-end weeks are heavier than the rest, since reconciliation issues surface then and the operations team needs answers inside the closing window. Cutover weekends for major releases happen two or three times a year and do involve working outside normal hours. It's worth knowing that upfront.
Experience and qualifications
Six years of professional experience is the requirement for this role, specifically 72 months of work in supply chain systems, enterprise IT analysis, or a comparable environment where you were responsible for both the business process and the system supporting it. Time spent purely in a helpdesk or generic reporting function won't map cleanly onto what's needed here.
On education, a completed bachelor's degree is the floor. Computer science and information technology are the common routes in, though we've hired good analysts with industrial engineering and operations backgrounds who picked up the technical side properly along the way. We don't require anything beyond bachelor's level.
Skills we need you to bring
- Supply chain systems. Hands-on work inside an ERP or dedicated supply chain platform, with real understanding of how procurement, inventory, and fulfillment modules connect to each other.
- SQL. This one is non-negotiable and gets tested. Joins across large transactional tables, window functions, query tuning when a report takes four minutes to return.
- Process analysis. Documenting an as-is flow accurately, spotting the failure points, and costing out what a change is actually worth before recommending it.
- Requirements gathering. Running sessions with people who know their job but not their system, and coming out with specifications precise enough to build against.
Things that strengthen an application without being mandatory: SAP MM or SD module experience, Oracle SCM Cloud, familiarity with a WMS or TMS, Python or pandas for one-off data reconciliation, Power BI or Tableau for the reporting layer, and working knowledge of EDI standards or REST integrations between systems. An APICS CPIM or CSCP certification carries genuine weight with our hiring panel, although plenty of our strongest analysts don't hold one.
