Before starting Naukri Mitra, Yogesh Kumar Dewangan spent years working across SEO, digital marketing, IT services and corporate training. That mix of experience gave him a close view of a recurring problem: IT companies struggling to find candidates who fit their exact requirements, while capable candidates kept missing openings simply because they never saw them.
The idea took its first shape in 2018, under the Bhumi Placement and Marketing Division, where the early focus was placing candidates into verified, on-ground roles rather than pushing volume for its own sake. What started as a small placement effort slowly turned into a dedicated process built specifically around technology hiring.
By 2023, that process had matured into a proper platform — naukrimitra.co — built specifically for the IT industry, with its own listing structure, its own screening approach, and a sharper focus on in-office technology roles rather than a general mix of jobs. Around the same time, the reach started stretching beyond India, bringing in IT openings from tech hubs abroad as well.
Today the platform continues to add IT hubs across India and overseas, employer partners and job categories, with the same starting principle still driving it: a good IT job shouldn't be hard to find, and a good IT candidate shouldn't be hard to reach, wherever they are.
Spreading a hiring platform across every industry usually means doing none of them particularly well. We chose to specialise in IT so that every part of the experience — categories, filters, listing detail — is actually useful to a tech candidate or a tech employer.
That focus means less noise for job seekers and sharper reach for companies who are hiring for a specific technical skill set.
