Enterprise Architect

📍 Hyderabad 🏷️ ERP & Business Applications 💰 ₹108,000 / month
A company in Kondapur, Hyderabad needs an Enterprise Architect for a full-time, on-site role. It pays INR 108,000 a month.

What you'd be doing

  • Implement and customize SAP modules to fit how the business actually operates, not just the out-of-the-box defaults
  • Sit with client teams to map out existing business processes before deciding how the system should be configured around them
  • Troubleshoot issues that come up during rollout, since something always behaves differently in production than it did in testing
  • Provide support after go-live, when users are still learning the new system and edge cases start surfacing
One rollout issue from a recent project: inventory counts kept coming out wrong after a warehouse switched over to a new stock movement type that hadn't been fully mapped in the configuration, so certain transfers were quietly skipping a step in the valuation process. Tracing it required walking through the transaction logs line by line until the missing mapping turned up. Debugging work like that ends up being a bigger part of the job than the "implementation" title might suggest.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor's degree is required, commonly in information technology, business administration, or a similar field. What the hiring team actually tests for in interviews is hands-on implementation experience with the relevant enterprise software module, since that's what determines whether someone can hit the ground on a real client engagement. This role calls for 30 months of that kind of hands-on experience.

Skills needed

Enterprise architecture frameworks, particularly TOGAF, form the theoretical backbone of this role, paired with strong system design ability. Stakeholder communication rounds it out, and it's not a soft add-on: a design that clients don't understand or trust tends to get resisted during rollout no matter how technically sound it is. A few extra skills would strengthen an application:
  • SAP S/4HANA certification or hands-on experience with the platform
  • Familiarity with specific SAP modules, such as FI/CO, MM, or SD
  • ABAP knowledge for reading or writing custom code within SAP
  • Experience with integration tools connecting SAP to other enterprise systems

Compensation and benefits

The role pays INR 108,000 a month. This listing on Naukri Mitra includes health insurance, paid time off, and provident fund contributions as standard. Since the position is on-site in Kondapur, employees also get access to an on-site cafeteria and cab or commute support.

What the work is like

Client engagements run in phases, and each one has its own rhythm: requirements gathering moves slowly and deliberately, while the weeks right before and after go-live get considerably more intense. Architects on this team split their time between client sites and the home office depending on the project stage, and travel occasionally comes up for larger rollouts. People who enjoy this work tend to like the variety of jumping between different clients' business problems rather than optimizing one system indefinitely.

Applying

Send a resume that lists the specific SAP modules or enterprise platforms you've implemented, along with the size and industry of the clients involved. If you've handled a difficult rollout issue before, a short description of how you diagnosed and fixed it will stand out more than a general skills summary. Shortlisted candidates will walk through a real implementation scenario during the technical interview.
