Associate Penetration Tester

About the Role

Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram's Kazhakkoottam area has an Associate Penetration Tester opening, full time, on site, with a security team running assessments for enterprise clients. Two years of experience is the expectation, enough to have already done real hands-on vulnerability testing beyond a training lab.

A Day in This Job

The work covers assessing systems for vulnerabilities, implementing protective controls, supporting incident response, and recommending improvements. An associate tester here works alongside senior testers on engagements, gradually taking more independent ownership of smaller assessment scopes as experience builds.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct vulnerability assessments using Burp Suite and Metasploit
• Support penetration testing engagements alongside senior testers
• Document findings clearly for client reports
• Support incident response when a real vulnerability is discovered

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field is expected, along with familiarity with security monitoring tools, vulnerability assessment, and incident response practices.

Skills That Matter

• Penetration testing tools, including Burp Suite and Metasploit
• Networking fundamentals
• Scripting for automating testing tasks

Good to Have

Any bug bounty participation, which the team treats as legitimate real-world testing experience, familiarity with a specific vulnerability class in depth, and genuine comfort writing findings up clearly for a client audience that may not be deeply technical.

Location & Pay

This role is based at Technopark, Kazhakkoottam, Thiruvananthapuram, pin code 695582, five days a week on site. Pay is up to ₹86,500 a month. The team hopes to fill this seat within five to six weeks.
